The Black-headed Caique (Pionites melanocephalus), also sometimes referred to as the Black-capped Parrot or Black-crowned Parrot, is a captivating medium-sized parrot native to the northern regions of South America. Appearance of Black Headed Caique

• Distinctive Head: As their name suggests, Black-headed Caiques have a prominent feature – a black head and beak. This black coloring extends from the top of their head down to their throat and upper chest.
